Dr. Jon Stroll, Director and Head of Scientific and Scholarly 365体育|365体育投注@ Japan of Thomson Reuters, presented certificates to researchers at a ceremony on January 7, 2015. Marketing Manager Sayaka Miwa provided background information on the chosen researchers and collaborating research institutes, and also mentioned the influence the papers have had on the science community.

According to data, the ratio of the number of Highly Cited Papers to the total number of papers from Tohoku University is highest in immunology, space science and environment/ecology. Miwa also emphasized the importance of using '365体育|365体育投注@er-ID', a system that assigns a unique identifier to researchers. This enables researchers to manage their publications lists and avoid author misidentification.
